Summer Camps 2026
California Area School District teachers and administrators offer summer camps for students on campus. The details for each summer camp are listed below for the registration. Most summer camps run from 9:00 - 12:00 Monday - Thursday and all are limited to 25 students per camp. There is no cost for the summer camp due to grant funding. Summer Camp registration will open Friday, February 27, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. and is first-come first-serve for registration.
Title: Watercolor Painting
Dates: June 8-11
Ages: 10-12

Description: We will use tips and techniques for working with watercolor paints. We will learn how colors and water mix together to create watercolor painting to take home.
Title: Bocce Camp

Description: Bocce Summer Camp is an exciting, skill-building indoor experience where campers learn the fundamentals of bocce in a fun, supportive, and team-focused environment! Perfect for beginners and experienced players alike, this camp blends friendly competition, teamwork, and classic summer fun.
Title: Board Game Bonanza Summer Camp

Description: Roll the dice and let the fun begin! In this exciting board game summer camp, students ages 9–12 will explore a mix of classic board games and new favorites while learning how to play, think strategically, and work as a team. Campers will practice learning and following rules, developing winning strategies, and showing good sportsmanship as they play alongside their peers. Throughout the camp, students will build important skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork—all through hands-on play and friendly competition. Whether they’re mastering a game they already love or discovering something brand new, campers will be challenged to think creatively and strategically every step of the way. The camp will conclude with a special creative project where students design and create their very own original board game. Using what they’ve learned about game mechanics, rules, and strategy, campers will collaborate, invent, and test their games before sharing them with others.

Description: Our Nature Explorers Camp is a hands-on, adventure-packed experience designed for young children to connect with the outdoors while learning through play. Each day is filled with exciting, age-appropriate activities that spark curiosity and encourage exploration—think mini scavenger hunts, planting and caring for gardens, nature crafts, bug and bird discoveries, and sensory-rich outdoor games. Children will develop their observation skills, creativity, and teamwork as they investigate the natural world around them. Our trained educators guide campers safely through each activity, fostering a love for nature while building confidence and independence.

Title: Get ready to Let It Rip! at Beyblade Camp: Read, Play, Make!

Description: This action-packed camp combines literacy, creativity, and hands-on fun as students dive into Beyblade Vol. 1 and research blader facts using the official handbook. Campers will strengthen reading and research skills while exploring characters, strategy, and design. Then it’s time to spin into action — building and battling with Beyblades, engineering their own arena, and testing out designs just like real bladers! This camp blends reading, teamwork, problem-solving, and STEM in an exciting way that keeps students engaged from start to finish.

Title: Beach Week

Description: The students will feel like they are at the beach this week. They will learn about the beach by reading stories and then making crafts with sea shells, sand art, and many other cool beach activities. They will end the week with a pool party and sand boxes to play in. Don't worry I will only have to little plastic pools for them to splash around in!!

Description: A fun and feel-good summer camp where girls will learn how to take care of themselves and each other. This will help build confidence, relationships, practice kindness, and learn simple self-care tools. We will make crafts, play games, and enjoy hanging out together!

Title: Earth Force One

Description: Going green at summer camps involves implementing sustainable practices that minimize the ecological footprint and provide educational opportunities for campers. This includes energy conservation, waste management, and environmental education. Camps can lead by example in environmental stewardship by adopting eco-friendly strategies, such as recycling programs and renewable energy sources. The goal is to instill sustainable habits and values in campers, contributing to a more environmentally responsible society.
Title: Dig It! A Metal Detecting Discovery Camp

Description: Grab a detector and start searching! In Dig It!, students in grades 4–12 will learn how metal detectors work while hunting for hidden objects, identifying signals, and practicing real recovery techniques. This hands-on camp blends science, history, and outdoor exploration as students discover what’s buried beneath their feet.
Title: Game On! Trojan Family Game Night Favorites
Dates: June 22-25

Description: Join us this summer for a fun and engaging camp centered around unplugged games that build strategy, teamwork, problem-solving, and sportsmanship! Students will learn and play a variety of classic board and card games such as Catan, Ticket to Ride, Clue, Connect 4, Phase 10, Rook, and more. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, this camp will help you sharpen your skills, learn new games, and enjoy friendly competition. Camp activities are perfect for family game night, and students will leave with new game knowledge and ideas they can bring home to share.

Description: For kids that like a morning run or maybe are just in need of an early drop off, students will stretch and run in the mornings and can drop students off at camps afterwards.

Description: This active and upbeat camp helps kids get moving through fun running and walking activities designed for all ability levels. Campers will learn why movement matters, how to fuel their bodies with healthy foods, and the importance of staying hydrated. Each day, kids will set and work toward personal and group step goals while building confidence, healthy habits, and a love for staying active—all while having fun with friends!

Title: Baking Camp

Description: Campers will learn essential baking skills such as reading recipes, measuring ingredients accurately, kitchen safety, and proper mixing techniques. Each day, campers will bake a variety of sweet and savory treats—cookies, cupcakes, muffins, and more. They will explore fun themes, experiment with flavors, and practice decorating with frosting, piping bags, and colorful toppings. Campers will proudly bring home their homemade creations to share with family and friends.
Title: Girls Got Game

Description: Get ready for a fun, energetic, and confidence-building basketball experience! Our Girls Open Gym Basketball Camp is designed for players ages 8–12 who want to practice their skills, hang with friends, and most importantly — have FUN playing the game. Whether your athlete is just getting started or already loves to compete, this camp creates a positive and encouraging environment where every girl can grow at her own pace. We will include Around the world shooting contests, dribble knock out, relay races, small scrimmages and shooting competitions. We will also get open gym game time to experiment with new skills and enjoy the game in a relaxed setting. Come join the fun!

Title: Nature Camp 2026
Dates: June 29th - August 6th, Monday - Thursday

Description: Children will be immersed in a fully outdoor classroom experience that will provide them with the perfect blend of academic enrichment, creativity, and meaningful social interaction! The camp will offer learning in areas of art, forest exploration, nature education, team-building activities, and outdoor play! The camp will run from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm Monday through Thursday beginning June 29th and ending August 6th!

Title: Dungeons and Dragons Week

Description: A week of adventure and daring bravery in this family favorite table top role playing game. For players fresh to the world of DND and those who love to play. Choose from a myriad of pre made characters and work together to save the day in an epic fantasy tale! No materials needed, everything from character sheets and dice will be provided!
Title: Can you survive? Third Season
Dates: July 20-22
Ages: 10+
Teacher: Dr. Jacob and Mr. Hoffman
Description: Participants will float down the Youghiogheny River, camping at multiple river-access sites while learning real-world survival skills. Each day begins on the water and ends around the campfire, as campers fish for their meals, prepare their catch, and work together to build sustainable campsites.
