LEARNING SUPPORT MRS. SAURITCH
I want to welcome you and your child to a new and exciting school year. My name is Mrs. Elsa Sauritch and I will be your child’s Learning Support Teacher this school year. I am a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. Additionally, I completed my Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist from Edinboro University. I have been in the field of education for the past 28 years.
I firmly believe a child’s attitude about school begins early. Parents, teachers, and caregivers alike must watch everything they do and say, because little eyes are watching, little ears are listening, and little minds are busy thinking. Therefore, I ask that you talk positively to your child about school, look at his or her papers with love, and talk to me about any concerns ( good things are welcome too!) you may have. I, at the same time, want to positively influence your child, and I want to instill in your child the positive attitude about school that he or she will need in order to be successful throughout the school years to come. I have high expectations for each child and believe that each child can meet success within his or her own developmental time range.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year. If parents and teachers are partners in education, it has been proven that children do better in school. I want to build and foster that partnership. Together we can make a difference.
