    Welcome to Online Learning!
I sincerely hope you and your family are doing well and staying healthy during this time away from school.  Please do not stress out about your school work, particularly in Physical Education, as I (and all of your teachers) are more than willing to work with you during this crisis.  Most importantly, I want you each to take care of yourselves and your families.  If you have any questions or need any assistance, please email me at foxp@calsd.org.
You've probably heard countless times how exercise is "good for you." But did you know that it can actually help you feel good, too? Getting the right amount of exercise can rev up your energy levels and even help improve your mood.  Each week, you should aim to perform physical activities at least 3 days per week, each day performing multiple activities.  For example, you can do push-ups, sit-ups, jog in place, burpees, mountain climbers, jumping jacks, dribble a basketball...all of these activities can be done at home, safely, while practicing social distancing!
Stay safe and healthy - see you soon!

Mr. Fox graduated from Hempfield Area High School in 1994 where his primary focus was college preparation.  He graduated from Catawba College in 1998 with a degree in Health and Physical Education.  He began his teaching career in 1999 at Big Spring High School in Newville, PA where he taught Health and Physical Education to students in grades 9-12 for two years.  In 2001 he came to California Area School District to teach Health and Physical Education at the elementary and middle school levels.  He loves teaching at California because the students are very hard working and eager to learn.
