    Mrs. Fowler is one of our Second Grade teachers.  She has been teaching in the California Area School District for 15 years.  During this time she has taught Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade.  Prior to this, Mrs. Fowler taught First Grade for the Fontana Unified School District, which is located in Fontana, California (near Los Angeles).
    Mrs. Fowler has been involved with our district in various ways.  She has been a ticket seller for Football, Volleyball, and Basketball.  She also served on the Act 80 Committee, and on the Science Curriculum Committee.  Mrs. Fowler continues to keep updated on effective teaching practices by attending professional development conferences, such as the Pennsylvania First Grade Teachers' Conference, the SFA training conference, the Harry Wong Workshop, and the Cooperative Learning Strategies workshop.  She is currently serving as a member of various teams in the elementary school and district:  SAP Team, Literacy Team, Curriculum Leadership Committee, and RTI Team.
    Mrs. Fowler has attained her Reading Specialist Degree in Spring, 2012!
    Mrs. Fowler received a Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 2003 from California University of Pennsylvania.  She received both a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Child Psychology from Alfred University, located in Alfred, New York (near Buffalo).  She has been certified to teach in the states of New York, Californnia, and Pennsylvania.
    Mrs. Fowler atteded the Baldwin-Whitehall School District, and lived in Baldwin before moving first to San Bernardino, CA, and then to California, PA.
