COVID-19 Response
01/07/22
The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and PA HAN (PA Health Network) updated their guidance on COVID. People with COVID-19 now isolate for five days and if they are asymptomatic or their symptoms are resolving (without fever for 24 hours), will follow isolation with five days of wearing a mask when around others. Unvaccinated close contacts are to quarantine for five days followed by strict mask use for an additional five days. Vaccinated close contacts do not need to quarantine following an exposure but are to wear a mask for 10 days after the exposure. Best practice includes a test for COVID-19 at day five after an exposure. Schools are required to follow the new community guidelines.
